Patch Notes V0.015 The Class Rework
I can't believe this took 5 1/2 months, sorry for the wait. It would've been out a bit sooner but my PC crashed while I was trying to save the project 2 days after my last post, which lost me about 2-3 weeks worth of work that I had to make up in a week. I've been making backups constantly because of it, not letting that happen again.
I didn't get to test out the balance too indepth, but I know it's player favored right now. I'm still trying to balance out some of the skills and adjust the enemies stats and scaling properly. Hopefully it's not too bad right now.
There's also a new game trailer that I made with all the updates accounted for.
Major Changes:
- Classes have been changed; 8 new starting classes, 24 vocations, & 48 specializations. Each starting class will get a choice between 3 vocations at level 10, and a choice between 2 specializations at level 60.
- Hundreds of new skills with the addition of most of the old ones returning in some way. Each starting class gets 3 to unlock | most vocations have 8 - 10 to unlock | and most specializations have 4 - 6 to unlock.
- Followers with changed classes - Manji; Spellblade -> Initiate | Trilian; Fighter -> Disciple |Kristolon; Scoundrel -> Rogue | Synstara; Sorcerer -> Mystic | Sunder; Scoundrel -> Psycho | Lenrith; Scoundrel -> Hermit | Braundarius; Pyromancer -> Unkindled | Gail; Sorcerer -> Mystic | Constance; Enchanter -> Minstrel | Nestala; Enchanter -> Bard | Jesili; Knight -> Templar
- Unchanged followers - Shilleia, Xadik, Headass, Yuzu, Xi Jin, Dahltri, & Cephe
- New Followers - Alistria the Magician, Bermu the Postulant, Accety the Alchemist, Trixie the Jester, Hanali the Apprentice, Felahna the Woodsman | This brings the total followers to 24 (10 male, 14 female)
- All followers now have a choice to recruit them or not.
- Added 2 new 'weapon' types; Alchemy Bag for Alchemist & Cards for Magician.
Minor Changes:
- Fixed the Guild Hunt battle being the same no matter which hunt you were on.
- Fixed a softlock in the Pushy Protestant quest where if you killed everyone in the first turn the quest would no longer progress (Thanks to Nine on Discord for letting me know).
- Most classes have their own attack, and all staring classes and vocations have their own unique defend skill.
- Max level reduced from 200 -> 99 due to parameter curve limitation with the new class system. (Well it's not because I literally can't keep the cap at 200, but if I did, you'd start gaining more and more stats per level past 100.)
- Standard stat buffs/debuffs now give 10% increase instead of 25% and can be stacked up to 50%. Note that some skills that give buffs/debuffs may give a larger percent if they're stronger.
- Changed some states that were based on 'action end' to 'turn end' where it made sense. Changed some states like rage and stances to be based on 'action end' so they only go down when that character acts.
- Fixed some problems with the character creator
- Fixed the Forest Cleanup quest showing up on the quest board if you completed the quest before taking it from the board. (Thanks to AnotherDuck on itch.io for letting me know)
- Fixed broken collision in SeaSide church, castle prison, and tutorial room. (Thanks to SleepyCat0000 on itch.io for letting me know)
- Fixed the Ring of the Brainless event not disappearing after interacting with it (Thanks to puddwudd on itch.io for letting me know).
- Fixed a softlock in the Southern Seaside Forest Underground area when interacting with a minecart.
- Increased the stats limit from 999 -> 9999 ; HP & MP max increased from 9999 -> 99999. I don't think it'll be possible to reach these limits but the point is to have uncapped stats. I'm pretty sure if you did reach these you'd be God at that point.
- Added some text to character name entry to let you know to tap/click the box to begin name entry.
- Removed Constance's eye patch
- Changed the location of where some followers are.
- Fixed some misc mistakes in Aquamarine city.
- Fixed some footstep sounds being incorrect or missing.
- Renamed weapon:Pyromancy Flame -> Diviner Hand Chain ; Pyromancer Accessories -> Diviner Accessory
- Each unique enemy type requires defeat before showing their HP Gauge.
- Credits updated with the new plugins and sprites added.
- Tutorials updated with the relevant changes.
Notes:
The way most debuffs and buffs work is that they give a 10% increase/decrease to a stat per stack, up to +5/-5. e.g. If an enemy has 2 stacks of an attack buff (which would be a +20% increase) and you apply a 1 stack attack debuff (a -10% decrease), the enemy would still have 1 stack of an attack buff (a +10% increase). And of course it works the same with the player.
All classes, except the Scoundrel and Jester, will only have a chance to crit on attacks that don't target all enemies. (This is how it worked before, with all skills that target 'all enemies' not being able to crit, but the two classes listed are now an exception.)
If a skill/spell damages an enemy, then the character that used it cannot act again the same turn. Skills/spells that purely buff/debuff, stances, barriers won't prevent that character from acting again.
Things that need to be changed:
Some skills that hit multiple times are applying their percentage chance of adding a negative state every time they hit. This pretty much guarantees the state will be applied every time.
Spellthief skills need to be replaced, or at least added to to make it more unique and thematic.
Wild magic needs to be added back to some classes.
Of course balancing in general (I wasn't able to test much).
New followers need to be added to the player home.

Just uploaded a new version fixing an issue with the Guardian equipment slot crashing the game on some of the classes. Also fixed Jesili softlocking the game when talking to her with another member in your party. The Maximizer TP mode now preserves TP like it says. Thanks to Casual on Discord for letting me know.
Congrats on the release! No worries, there was a LOT to do,but you stayed in touch so all good.
Can't wait to try out the new classes!
